Hi, this is my first post here and I have a question.

I have a 1967 bug, it's beautiful and I love it; I promise pictures in the future :o)
But yesterday I drove it as usual and stopped for coffee and when I tried to leave, I couldn't get it into reverse. I tried and tried several times before I gave up and called someone to help push me of the bushes she tried to eat that were previously in front of me and were now under me.
Anyone have any ideas?
It wasn't difficult to put in any other gear at all, it just doesn't want to reverse by itself.

Any thoughts would be appreciated :o)

(cross posted slightly, sorry if you read this more than once)

I'm new... [Jun. 8th, 2005|03:43 am]

This is my first post to this community. I'm a fellow Volkswagen lover. I bought my Kharmann Ghia 13 years ago, when I was 14. Paid $200 for it. Saved enough money to have the electrical system switched over to a 12 volt. Haven't done much with it since I started college, got married and had children. But now it's time to finish restoring the car. I have a garage to work in now, so next month I'm bringing the car to the new house to start work. I'm learning as I go.

1983 gti [Oct. 1st, 2004|11:16 am]

OK so this is kind of an out-there question. A friend has me on a mission to find the operating range specifications for the O2 sensor on a 1983 Rabbit GTi - he intends on screwing with the computer air/fuel ratios and whatnot and I guess needs this information. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know - I've already scoured the technical manuals here at the dealership and I think my head might explode.

The best car I ever owned [Jun. 10th, 2004|09:42 am]

I have an 85 Scirocco and it was the car I had the most fun in. I got it with 200k+ miles but it ran good. One day, I was driving home and I blew the cylinder head, I am currently trying to fix it, but it's taking longer than I thought.
